God's declaration of Truth

GOD HAS SHOWN MERCY. FOR THOSE WHO REJECT THAT, THERE IS ONLY THE JUSTICE AND VENGEANCE OF GOD WHICH IS ETERNAL DAMNATION.

Luke Chapter 19

The words of Our Only Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in red.

19:10 "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."
19:11 As they were hearing these things, he added and spoke a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately be manifested.
19:12 He said therefore: "a certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom and to return.
19:13 And calling his ten servants, he gave them ten pounds and said to them: Trade till I come.
19:14 But his citizens hated him and they sent an delegation after him, saying: 'We will not have this man to reign over us.'
19:15 And it came to pass that he returned, having received the kingdom: and he commanded his servants to be called, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading,
19:16 And the first came saying: 'Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.'
19:17 And he said to him: 'Well done, thou good servant, because thou hast been faithful in a little, thou shalt have power over ten cities.'
19:18 And the second came, saying: 'Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.'
19:19 And he said to him: 'Be thou also over five cities.'
19:20 And another came, saying: ' Lord, behold here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin.
19:21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up what thou didst not lay down: and thou reapest that which thou didst not sow.'
19:22 He saith to him: 'Out of thy own mouth I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up what I laid not down and reaping that which I did not sow.
19:23 And why then didst thou not give my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have exacted it with usury?'
19:24 And he said to them that stood by: 'Take the pound away from him and give it to him that hath ten pounds.'
19:25 And they said to him: 'Lord, he hath ten pounds.'
19:26 But I say to you that to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound: and from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken from him.
19:27 But as for those my enemies, who would not have me reign over them, bring them hither and slay them in my presence."
19:28 And having said these things, he went before, going up to Jerusalem.
19:29 And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethania, unto the mount called Olivet, he sent two of his disciples,
19:30 Saying: "Go into the town which is over against you, at your entering into which you shall find the colt of an ass tied, on which no man ever hath sitten: loose it and bring it.
19:31 And if any man shall ask you: 'Why are you loosing it?' You shall say thus unto him: Because the Lord hath need of it.' "
19:32 And they that were sent went their way and found the colt standing, as he said unto them.
19:33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said to them: "Why are you loosing it?
19:34 But they said: "Because the Lord has need of it."
19:35 And they brought it to Jesus. And casting their cloaks over the colt, they set Jesus on it.
19:36 And as he went, they spread their cloaks upon the road.
19:37 And when he was drawing near, being now at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole company of his disciples began to rejoice and to praise God with a loud voice, for all the miracles that they had seen,
19:38 Saying: "Blessed is he who comes as king, in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
19:39 And some of the Pharisees, from the crowds, said to him: "Master, rebuke thy disciples."
19:40 He said to them: "I tell you that if these keep silence, the stones will cry out."
19:41 And when he drew near, seeing the city, he wept over it, saying:
19:42 "If thou also hadst known, and that in this thy day, the things that are to thy peace: but now they are hidden from thy eyes.
19:43 For the days shall come upon thee: and thy enemies shall cast a trench about thee and compass thee round and straiten thee on every side,
19:44 And beat thee flat to the ground, and thy children who are in thee. And they shall not leave in thee a stone upon a stone: because thou hast not known the time of thy visitation."
19:45 And entering into the temple, he began to cast out them that sold therein and them that bought.
19:46 Saying to them: "It is written: My house is the house of prayer. But you have made it a den of thieves."
19:47 And he was teaching daily in the temple. And the chief priests and the scribes and the rulers of the people sought to destroy him.
19:48 And they found not what to do to him: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.

The Second Epistle of St. Paul to the Thessalonians

The day of the Lord is not to come till the man of sin be revealed. The apostle's teachings are to be observed.

2:1 And we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and of our gathering together unto him:
2:2 That you be not easily moved from your sense nor be terrified, neither by spirit nor by word nor by epistle. as sent from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand.

Chap. 2. Ver. 2. Spirit . . . utterance. . . letter indicate three possible sources of their belief that the parousia is imminent. Spirit refers to some falsely claimed revelation, utterance may be a statement of Paul’s which was misunderstood, or wrongly attributed to him, the letter seems to be one forged in Paul’s name.

2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition

Ver. 3. . . The parousia must be preceded by a great apostasy, i.e., a great religious revolt, and the advent of the man of sin, i.e., Antichrist. Son of perdition, one entirely deserving of eternal punishment.

Ver. 3. The day of the Lord will not come. These words have been inserted to complete the sentence, which in the original is elliptical. The expanded reads "Let no man deceive you by any means: for the day of the Lord will not come unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition"

2:4 Who opposeth and is lifted up above all that is called God or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God.

Ver. 4. In the temple, that of Apostate Jerusalem which the full consensus of the Church Fathers declare he will rebuild - i.e. the Temple of Remphan; and in the Apostate shell of the former Christian church, which he perverts to his own worship: as the Freemasons have done to the Vatican.

Ver. 4. Antichrist will be characterized by great impiety and pride. He sits in the temple of God, etc. He will aspire to be treated as God and proclaim that he is really God.

2:5 Remember you not that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2:6 And now you know what restrains him, that he may be revealed in his proper time.

Ver. 6. What restrains him. The Thessalonians knew the obstacle. We also know that it is Jesus Christ.

2:7 For the mystery of iniquity is already at work: only that he who is at present restraining it, does still restrain, until he is gotten out of the way.

Ver. 7. Mystery of iniquity, the evil power of Satan’s threefold prevarication and total Apostasy from God, of which Antichrist is to be the public exponent and champion. He who is at present restraining it. The obstacle is now spoken of as a person. Some point out that Michael the archangel and his heavenly army are obstacles, and this is true, which now prevent the appearance of Antichrist – but the primary obstacle is, as St. Justin Martyr teaches: Jesus Christ Himself; when the great Apostasy is complete, then in effect, Christ is “gotten out of the way.”

2:8 And then that wicked one shall be revealed: whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: him

Ver. 8. When Christ appears in glory, He will inflict defeat and death on Antichrist by a mere word of command.
2:9 Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power and signs and lying wonders:

Ver. 9 – 10. By the aid of Satan Antichrist will perform prodigies which men will falsely regard as miracles, and by means of which they will be led to adopt sinful practices.

2:10 And with all wicked deception to those who are perishing. For they have not received the love of truth that they might be saved.
2:11 Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying:

Ver. 11. God shall send. . .That is God shall suffer them to be deceived by lying wonders, and false miracles, in punishment of their not entertaining the love of truth.
Ver. 11. 'God sends.' God will allow their willful rejection of truth to have its natural results of spiritual blindness, impenitence and damnation. A misleading influence, or, “a delusion.” The operation of error - the Greek reads: "energian planes" or literally the energy of delusion, which is exactly and actually the fallen spirits of the devils and demons conjured by pagan religion, especially by idolatry. NOW, currently, the Assisi delusion of the Apostates, Ratzinger and Wojtyla and many others present with them, is a very real and prime example. To give oneself over to this is to invite utter and complete damnation of oneself by God.
2:12 That all may be judged who have not believed the truth but have consented to iniquity.

2:13 But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you firstfruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit and faith of the truth:
Ver. 13. First-fruits, i.e., earliest believers in the gospel. Some manuscripts read: “from the beginning.” That is, God called them from all eternity.
2:14 Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast: and hold the teachings, which you have learned, whether by word or by our epistle.
Ver. 15. Teachings, i.e., his teachings whether given orally or in writing. Concerning Apostolic teaching – the oral is included in the written at the point we have the whole New Testament complete, i.e. with the completion of St. John’s Gospel.
2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God and our Father, who hath loved us and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope in grace,

2:17 Exhort your hearts and confirm you in every good work and word.

BOOK OF REVELATION UNCOVERED: Chapter 16

[Editor's Note: For this study, the author uses easy to understand Contemporary English Version (CEV) of Bible that has been created by the American Bible Society. His insights are given in capital letters. This include explanations and historical background information for the words you have just read in order to make the startling predictions made in this important and fascinating book comprehensible. Occasionally make changes will be made in the CEV words if a variance is detected from the meaning found in the King James Bible.]
REVELATION 16
1 From the temple I heard a voice shout to the seven angels, "Go and empty the seven bowls (REFERS TO PLAGUES) of God's anger on the earth."
2 The first angel emptied his bowl on the earth. At once ugly and painful sores broke out on everyone who had the mark of the beast (SHOWING LOYALTY TO THE ANTI-CHRIST) and worshiped the idol. (REFERS TO A STATUE DEPICTING THE ANTI-CHRIST)
3 The second angel emptied his bowl on the sea. (THOUGHT TO BE THE MEDITERRANEAN OCEAN) Immediately the sea turned into blood like that of a dead person, (BLOOD IN THE DECEASED BECOMES VERY THICK AND CHANGES TO A BLACK COLOR) and every living thing in the sea died.
4 The third angel emptied his bowl into the rivers and streams. At once they turned into blood. (THERE IS NO REASON TO INTERPRET THIS WORD AS A SYMBOL)
5 Then I heard the angel, who has power over water, (HEY LOOK, IT'S THE WATER ANGEL! THIS BOOK MORE THAN ANY OTHER IN THE BIBLE GIVES US DETAILS ABOUT THE ACTIVITIES AND ROLES OF ANGELS) say, "You have always been, and you always will be (GOD DOESN'T CHANGE. SCARY FOR OUR SOCIETY ISN'T IT?) the holy God because you judged them. (THIS IMPLIES THAT GOD WOULD NOT REMAIN HOLY IF HE DID NOT JUDGE AND PUNISH THE PERVERSION THAT EXISTS ON THE EARTH WHICH IS THE NECESSARY EXPLANATION FOR THOSE WHO WILL KEEP CRYING OUT "WHY IS GOD DOING ALL OF THIS TO US " INSTEAD OF THE MORE RELEVANT QUESTION, "OH LORD HOW COULD WE POSSIBLY SIN SO MUCH?") 6 They (REFERS TO THE FOLLOWERS OF THE ANTI-CHRIST) poured out the blood (MURDERED) of saints and prophets. So you (GOD) gave them blood to drink, as they deserve!"
7 After this, I heard (THOSE AT) the altar shout, "Yes, Lord God All-Powerful, your judgments are honest and fair." (THIS STATEMENT COMES FROM THOSE WHO WERE MURDERED BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO ABANDON THEIR CHRISTIAN BELIEFS DURING THE TRIBULATION)
8 The fourth angel emptied his bowl on the sun, and it began to scorch people like fire. (THIS HEAT WILL ALSO DRAMATICALLY WORSEN THE ALREADY CRITICAL WATER SHORTAGE PROBLEM) 9 People were scorched by its great heat, and all of them cursed the name of God who had power over these horrendous troubles. (WOW IMPROVEMENT AT LONG LAST! THEY ARE FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGING GOD!!) But no one turned to God and worshiped Him. (IT LOOKS LIKE THEY NEED STILL MORE PUNISHMENT DOESN'T IT?)
10 The fifth angel emptied his bowl on the throne of the beast. (THE LOCATION OF THE ANTI-CHRIST ) At once darkness covered its (ANTI-CHRIST'S) kingdom, and its people began biting their tongues in pain. 11 And because of their painful sores, (BOILS) they cursed the God who rules in heaven. But still they did not stop doing evil things. (CAN YOU SPELL P E R V E R T E D ?)
12 The sixth angel emptied his bowl on the great Euphrates River, and it completely dried up to make a road ( THE ARMIES OF THE ANTI-CHRIST WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS PLAGUE AND USE THE DRIED UP RIVER BED TO TRANSPORT TROOPS TO ENGAGE IN THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON) for the kings from the East. (THE GREEK TRANSLATION STATES "KINGS OF THE SUN RISING" WHICH INDICATES THAT ARMIES FROM CHINA WILL BE SENT TO WAR IN THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON) 13 An evil spirit that looked like a frog came out of the mouth of the dragon. (SATAN) One also came out of the mouth of the beast, (ANTI-CHRIST) and another out of the mouth of the false prophet. (RELIGIOUS LEADER WHOM MANY BELIEVE WILL BE THE HEAD OF A CHURCH DENOMINATION) 14 These evil spirits had the power to work miracles. They went to every king (HEAD OF STATE OR POLITICAL LEADER) on earth, to bring them together (THIS SHOWS THAT THE ANTI-CHRIST WILL NOT CONTROL ALL OF THE NATIONS IN THE WORLD. INFLUENCE YES BUT CONTROL NO) for a war against God All-Powerful. (THE ANTI-CHRIST AND THE FALSE PROPHET, BOTH OF THEM DEMON POSSESSED , WILL CREATE A WORLD WAR USING ARMIES FROM MANY NATIONS) But that will be the day of God's great victory. (GOD WILL END THE WAR AND DEFEAT SATAN BY DESTROYING HIS ARMIES)
15 Remember that Christ says, "When I come, it will surprise you like a thief! (HERE IS ANOTHER DESCRIPTION: 1 THESSALONIANS 5:2-3 You surely know that the Lord's return will be as a thief coming at night. 3 People will think they are safe and secure. But destruction will suddenly strike them like the pains of a woman about to give birth. And they won't escape. ) But God will bless you, if you are awake (MORALLY CONSCIOUS, UNLIKELY TO ACCEPT SATANIC DECEPTION) and ready. (FOR SALVATION) Then you won't have to walk naked (UNPROTECTED FROM CONDEMNATION) and be ashamed." (THOUGHT TO REFER TO THE JUDGMENT)

(DRV)

[1] -Ver. 1. Great (loud) voice: the divine voice from the throne itself.
[2] -Ver. 2. The plague falls on those who carry the character (mark) of the beast; it resembles the sixth Egyptian plague, the plague of boils. Cf. Ex. 9, 8-12.
[3] -Ver. 15. Behold, I come: the voice of Christ.
[4] -Ver. 16. Armagedon: or, as in Hebrew, “Har-Megiddo,” i.e., the mountain of Megiddo. The place indicated here is the plain of Esdraelon, the great battlefield of Palestine; here the fortunes of kings have been decided, here, rulers fought and fell. This battleground becomes the symbol of the divine struggle.

Revelation Chapter 16

(text from Bible Gateway NKJV )

Revelation 16

1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the bowls[a] of the wrath of God on the earth.”
First Bowl: Loathsome Sores

2 So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.
Second Bowl: The Sea Turns to Blood

3 Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died.
Third Bowl: The Waters Turn to Blood

4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. 5 And I heard the angel of the waters saying:

“ You are righteous, O Lord,[b]
The One who is and who was and who is to be,[c]
Because You have judged these things.
6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets,
And You have given them blood to drink.
For[d] it is their just due.”

7 And I heard another from[e] the altar saying, “Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.”
Fourth Bowl: Men Are Scorched

8 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.
Fifth Bowl: Darkness and Pain

10 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain. 11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.
Sixth Bowl: Euphrates Dried Up

12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and[f] of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.[g]
Seventh Bowl: The Earth Utterly Shaken

17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!” 18 And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. 19 Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. 20Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21 And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone
about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.

Footnotes
16:2—4 The first ... bowl is poured out and the mark of the beast breaks out upon those who received it in foul and loathsome sores (see Wisd. 11:16), like the sixth plague of Ex. 9:8—11. The second (v. 3) and third (v. 4) bowls are like the first plague (Ex. 7:20, 21; see Rev. 8:8—11).
16:5—7 This judgment becomes the occasion for a doxology to God from the angel of the waters, the element just affected by God’s wrath (vv. 3, 4). In biblical thought, spiritual or angelic powers have charge of the physical realm; all elements of the material world have angelic guardians. In response, a voice from the altar (possibly the voice of the martyrs— see 6:9; 8:3—5; 9:13) proclaims God’s judgments are true and righteous (v. 7).
There is a parallel here with “the song of Moses” (15:3, 4). Indeed, there is a parallel here with the hymnodic interlude in the Jerusalem temple liturgy between the preparation and the offering of the sacrificed lamb. It is their just due (v. 6) is literally “they are worthy” (Gr. axios), the antithesis of the worthiness of the Lamb sung about in 5:9, 12. At the ordination of a deacon, priest, or bishop, the assembly sings “Axios” as an assent to the candidate’s worthiness.
16:8, 9 The spiritually hardened followers of the beast cannot repent, but only blaspheme at the judgments of God, in contrast to Dan. 3:22, 27, where the holy youths who refuse to worship Nebuchadnezzar’s image are not even singed by the furnace’s heat, here those who worship the beast and its image are scorched with great heat (v. 9).
16:10 The plague of darkness is similar to the ninth Egyptian plague (Ex. 10:21—29). Here the throne is Rome (in contrast to 2:13, where “Satan’s throne” is Pergamos), and the kingdom is the empire. Satan has shared his dominion with “the beast from the land,” the false prophet (13:11).
16:12 As in 9:13—21, the Roman Empire is threatened by peoples from beyond the Euphrates. This river formed a natural defensive line for Rome against the kings from the east, the Parthians (see also 6:2; 17:12, 13). The Old Testament miracles of crossing over a river on dry land (Ex. 14:21; Josh. 3:17) are repeated (see also Is. 11:15; Jer. 51:36; Zech. 10:11).
16:13 This is an allusion to the second Egyptian plague (Ex. 8:1—11). The unclean spirits (see 1 Tim. 4:1) are like frogs (included in the unclean animals of Lev. 11:10).
16:14 Spirits of demons, performing signs are predicted by our Lord (Mark 13:22 see also Acts 13:6; 2 Thess. 2:9). The great day of God Almighty (6:17; foreshadowed in Joel 2:11 and Zeph. 1:14; graphically described in 2 Pet. 3:12) is the eschatological Day of the Lord.
16:15 In a parenthetical comment, we are told that this Day of the Lord will see Him coming unexpectedly like a thief (see 3:3; Matt. 24:42—44; 1 Thess. 5:2). Like the wise virgins who stand in readiness for the Bridegroom who comes at midnight (Matt. 25:1—13), the blessed faithful are here exhorted to remain vigilant as well. It is said that the officer on duty at the Jerusalem temple was to see that his night guards kept awake during their watch. If they were caught asleep, they were beaten. If caught a second time, they were stripped of their garments, their vesture, then and there. A Christian’s garment is his white baptismal robe, “the garment of righteousness,” the putting on of Christ.
16:16 Decisive battles in Israel’s history were fought in the strategic pass near Megiddo (see 2 Kin. 9:27). Armageddon—the word is found only here in Scripture—means "the hill of Megiddo”; the nearest hill to Megiddo is Mt. Carmel, where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal (1 Kin. 18:19—40). In the final conflict at Armageddon, evil spirits (vv. 13, 14) lead apostate mankind against God. This battle is more fully recorded in 20:7—10, and foreshadowed in Ezek. 39 and Joel 3.
16:17—21 The last bowl is a conclusive act of judgment; a loud voice from God's throne declares, “It is done!” (repeated at 21:6; see John 19:30). Cosmic signs of God's presence are manifest which evoke His appearance on Mt. Sinai and other theophanies (see 4:5; 8:5; 11:10), and are quite similar to those of the last trumpet (11:19)—especially a great earthquake causing worldwide destruction (v. 20). Yet even 75-pound (75 lbs. = one talent) hailstones fail to induce repentance. The great city (v. 19) is probably Jerusalem (see 11:8), since Rome is mentioned separately as great Babylon. [Ed. note - the Vatican is, by all applicable Catholic and Orthodox exegesis, what is meant in the last times, Rome, Italy is included and the Aeur, in particular; in the 1st century A.D. it was pagan Rome of the Roman Empire that was the type of this final fulfillment that is commencing even now.]
