Who reads All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque now?
Sergeant York anyone?
The "War To End All Wars," remember?
Here are some brief summations just to sketch things out.
Treaty of Versailles
International agreement, signed in 1919 at the Palace of Versailles, that concluded World War I. It was negotiated primarily by the U.S., Britain, and France, without participation by the war's losers. Germany was forced to accept blame for Allied losses and to pay major reparations. Its European territory was reduced by about 10%, its overseas possessions were confiscated, and its military establishment was reduced. Although some of the treaty's terms were eased in the 1920s, the bitterness it created helped to foster an environment that led to the growth of fascism in Italy and the rise of the Nazi Party in Germany. The treaty also established the League of Nations, the International Labour Organization, and the Permanent Court of International Justice (later the International Court of Justice). All Quiet on the Western Front (1930)
A prologue, that introduces the film, was taken almost verbatim from the foreword to Remarque's novel:This story is neither an accusation nor a confession, and least of all an adventure, for death is not an adventure to those who stand face to face with it. It will try simply to tell of a generation of men who, even though they may have escaped its shells, were destroyed by the war...
Veterans Day
Also known as Armistice Day and Remembrance Day in various parts of the world, Veterans Day (Armistice Day in the United States originally) is originally in memory of the Veterans who died serving in The Great War. The Armistice ending the hostilities of The Great War (later renamed World War I), was signed on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918. Sounds pre-planned doesn't it. Now 9/11 is built on top of it and other planned fiascoes of blood letting.

Similarly, as Versailles was the fuse to set off World War II, Iraq/Afghanistan are the beachhead to invade all of the Middle East and the fuse to set off every form of regionalism and discord to pave the way for the conscienceless western expeditionary force on a fool's errand to oppose God's will concerning the Holy Land and instead of observing God's commandments they strive to set the son of perdition in place in Jerusalem in order to try to rule the world by Satanic power. They will fail, God and His Christ will see to that. The Holy Land is where the first Christmas took place and where the Second Advent of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ from heaven will take place.
2nd Epistle Of Saint Paul To The Thessalonians Chapter 1
[6] Seeing it is a just thing with God to repay tribulation to them that trouble you: [7] And to you who are troubled, rest with us when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven, with the angels of his power: [8] In a flame of fire, giving vengeance to them who know not God, and who obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. [9] Who shall suffer eternal punishment in destruction, from the face of the Lord, and from the glory of his power: [10] When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be made wonderful in all them who have believed; because our testimony was believed upon you in that day.
