The Apocalypse is a revelation of things that were, are and will be. We are actually witnessing some of the events foretold in this book, but many still lie in the future. It is Christ who commands John to write to the seven churches, opens the seven seals, reveals the sufferings of the saints, opens the little book, overcomes the beast, reigns during the period of the first resurrection, judges the dead, both great and small, according to their works at His Second Coming, rules over all things from the beginning, presides over all the changing scenes of earth’s history, and is the King of kings and Lord of lords.

The book presents Christ as the Coming One; it reveals the dealings of Him who came, and who is to come. It opens with the solemn hope that the Coming One will come soon, and closes with the impressive prediction that the Coming One will come quickly.

The book is one of hope, but also one of warning; its aim is to assure the Church of the advent of her Lord in victory. The precise time of this victory lies hidden with God, but it is certain, although the crown will not be won without a struggle. Heaven will be stormed and carried away through suffering and conflict. And all who keep the words of this book will take part in the conflict and share in the victory.The conflict is presented under the form of symbols. It is not easy to give a full interpretation of all the types, but the general symbols are not difficult to understand. Jerusalem stands as the type of the good cause, and this is the Church of Christ. Babylon appears as the type of the evil cause, and this is the world power. The heavenly Jerusalem has the assistance of divine power. The earthly Babylon has the help of evil powers, the dragon, the beast and the false prophet. The scenes in the great conflict arrange themselves around these types of good and of evil. The numbers, the seals, the trumpets and the bowls are phases in the development and consummation of the conflict.

John has arranged the scenes in a sevenfold structure; even in the subordinate visions he keeps to this arrangement. Commentators, however, are not agreed in marking off the limits of each structure.

The book was written in Greek by St. John the Evangelist, on the island of Patmos, about the year. 96 A.D.

Note on parallel passages and commentary. The parallel passages are based on the full concordance thereof relating to, from the Council of Trent; the commentary is late 1940’s Catholic from the full consensus of the Church Fathers on the seven within seven structure of the book.

Also note that the book at the same time “opens from the middle” so to speak. Just like a megilloth (Hebrew for scroll). The first eleven chapters (1 – 11) which culminate in the general judgement – Rev. 11:18 – 19

And the nations were angry: and thy wrath is come. And the time of the dead, that they should be judged and that thou shouldest render reward to thy servants the prophets and the saints, and to them that fear thy name, little and great: and shouldest destroy them who have corrupted the earth.

And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple. And there were lightnings and voices and an earthquake and great hail. (DRV)
And the second eleven chapters (12 – 22) which culminate in the general judgement (Rev. 20:11 – 14) and the New Heaven and New Earth (Rev. 21, 22)

Both the first and second eleven chapters begin from the time of Christ’s Incarnation but include the fact that He is Immortal and the Creator of Heaven and Earth. See: Rev. 1:4 – 6 John to the seven churches which are in Asia. Grace be unto you and peace, from him that is and that was and that is to come: and from the seven spirits which are before his throne:
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth, who hath loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood (when He became Incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the blessed virgin Mary and went to the Cross for our salvation)

And hath made us a kingdom, and priests to God and his Father. To him be glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen.(DRV)

These two phrases that is and that was and that is to come (Greek “‘o oon kai ‘o en kai ‘o erchoumenos”) and I am Alpha and Omega (Greek: “egoo eimi to Alpha kai to Omega”) are emphatic declarations of Christ’s Divinity and Immortality for it is the Thrice Holy Trinity – Rv:4:8 And the four living creatures had each of them six wings: and round about and within they are full of eyes. And they rested not day and night, saying: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come. (Greek “‘agious ‘agious ‘agious kurios ‘o theos ‘o pantocrator”) – alone Who possesses Aseity (self existence and Who is therefore alone uncreated) and Who is Immortal of the same Essence/Substance – Nature.

In the above: the “who [that] is”, in Greek “‘o oon”, is the declaration of Aseity. The “who [that] was” and the “who [that] is to come” with the “‘o oon”, self existence, is the declaration of Immortality (having no beginning and no end – always existing). The phrase I am Alpha and Omega has exactly the same meaning. “I am” – “egoo eimi” is the equivalent of Yahweh (God’s proper name) in Hebrew meaning “I am” in the same sense as the above “‘o oon”. Alpha and Omega has the same meaning as Immortality in the above. Pantocrator (translated as Almighty) is the declaration of the Thrice Holy Lord God’s All ruling absolute Sovereignty and includes emphatically the meaning that He is alone uncreated and Creator, ex nihilo, of all of creation. This relates directly to the beginning of the Gospel of St. John and the beginning of the first book of the Torah (the Pentateuch) which is Genesis. See: Genesis 1:1 through 2:4 and St. John’s Gospel 1:1 through vs. 18. All of this and the exact seventy human generations recounted in St. Luke’s Gospel 3:1 – 38 from Adam to Christ (see also the parallel in St. Matthew’s Gospel 1:1 – 25 from Abraham to Christ) and the testimony of the Church Fathers does not allow any pagan evolutionary gods nor even sophist pantheistic idolatrous creationism but only creation by the Creator as He said He did it, and only Redemption in God and His Christ (the Messiah, al-Maseeh) as He said that it is; the false gods or pagan idolatrous religions that willfully reject God and Jesus Christ (those who do not willfully reject Him but seek God in their hearts are judged by God alone) are without grace and they and their followers will be damned forever, who do not repent in this life from those false gods and religions and come to God and His Christ and make confession in Him and be baptized by God’s Spirit {believers in monotheistic Islam who confess the Holy Trinity and Jesus Christ as the Son of God and all men of good will who worship only this God (in the full consensus of the Church Fathers) are included as true believers in the true God and therefore saved by their confession of belief in and fulfilling the will of God, Allah (SWT) and who are therefore called to come to Christ and confess Him by Baptism of water and the Spirit in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit}. Allah is from biblical Hebrew ‘Eloah’ and means the true God, All middle Eastern Christians, including Catholics, who are Arabic speakers call on Allah as the name of the true God. Amen.

Israeli government sources say the Pope spoke to President Shimon Peres in a meeting between Jews, Christians and Muslims, aimed at speaking out against violence. Rabbi Rosen has asked for steps to be taken to bring peace to the Holy Land

Israeli government sources claim Francis is apparently thinking of calling a meeting between leaders and faithful of the world’s three biggest monotheistic religions, in Rome, to launch a message of peace, countering violence and the use of God’s name to justify hatred and terrorist acts. The sources say the Pope announced his intention to call a meeting, during an Audience last 30 April. But there was no mention of this in the communiqué the Holy See’s issued after the Audience.  

President Peres “told the Pope that there are people who use God’s name to justify terrorism” and religious leaders should “say out loud that God did not give anyone permission to kill their neighbour.” According to the information contained in a summary of the Audience received by the Israeli government, Francis told Peres he “whole-heartedly supported” his appeal against violence and that “he wanted to promote a meeting between religious leaders and faithful of the three major religions” founded by Abraham, “in Rome”. The aim would be to “make people see” that the religions “oppose violence and terrorism.”

  

If these statements were indeed made during the Audience, it looks like the Pope is thinking about possible peace initiatives that would be restricted to the world’s three major monotheistic faiths. It would not be an interreligious meeting involving all faiths, like the Assisi gatherings organised by John Paul II and then by Benedict XVI in 2011. But in Israel, there are those who would like religions to nudge politicians to come up with viable solutions to the conflict in the Middle East. The President of the International Council of Christians and Jews (Iccj), Rabbi David Rosen, has asked the Pope to help leaders of the Jewish and Muslim religions to promote an initiative for peace in the Holy Land. Speaking to a group of Italian journalists, Rosen suggested the Pope convene a meeting between the Holy Land’s religious leaders, in Jerusalem, to pray for peace in the region. “2015 could be a perfect time to do this as it will mark the fiftieth anniversary of the promulgation of “Nostra Aetate”, the Second Vatican Council declaration on the Relation of the Church with Non-Christian Religions”. The Rabbi said an initiative like this was important as it would “boost political efforts to resolve conflicts in the region.”

Vatican-Israel Bi-Lateral Commission honors John XXIII in Jerusalem while Israel’s President and Nobel Peace Prize winner Shimon Peres has audience with Pope Francis and is granted honorary citizenship in Assisi

Judging from events that took place this week in Italy and in Israel, relations between the Catholic Church and the Jewish People seem to promise an all time high.

While Israel’s President and Nobel Peace Prize winner Shimon Peres met with Pope Francis in Rome, the 12th meeting of the Bi-Lateral Commission of the Holy See and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel was held in Jerusalem, dedicated to honoring and celebrating the memory of Pope John XXIII 50 years after his death. The international  conference discussed “his historic role in transforming the attitude and teaching of the Catholic Church towards the Jewish people, based on mutual respect and affirmation of the eternal Covenant between God and Israel in keeping with the declaration Nostra Aetate of the Second Vatican Council.”

The conference was sponsored by the American Jewish Committee,  Tel Aviv University’s  Kantor Center for the study of Contemporary European Jewry and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Speakers from the Vatican and the Catholic Church included among others, Cardinal Kurt Koch, Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem H.B. Fouad Twal, Fr. Pierbattista Pizzaballa -  Custos of the Holy Land, and Prof. Alberto Melloni.  Jewish speakers included scholars from Israeli and European Universities, Yad Vashem, Chief Rabbi of Haifa Emeritus - She’ar Yashub Cohen, Dr.Amos Luzzatto - the former President of the Union of Italian Jewish Communities, and Rabbi David Rosen - AJC’s International Director of Interreligious Affairs.

Different sessions were dedicated to Roncalli  and the Shoah;  the Establishment of the state of Israel;  Vatican II and Nostra Aetate;  the Legacy of John XXIII for Christian- Jewish Relations in Europe and the World.

Commenting on the Conference, Rabbi Rosen said, “It exceeded all expectations and created tremendous excitement. A throng of people gathered outside the packed room, many sitting on the stairs.  They could have filled a hall twice the size of ours. There was enormous interest on all levels, which is a tribute to the changing of attitudes regarding Catholic-Jewish relations.”

Significantly, the final Joint Declaration stressed the “importance of educating the respective religious communities about the nature, substance and significance of these changes” and called on Israel’s Ministry of Education plus the Holy See’s Congregation for Catholic Education “to explore ways and means of how these developments can become an integral part of the required syllabus of educational institutions under their respective authorities.”  It also pointed out that “The mutual respect and friendship between us over recent years brings responsibility to present each other the way each sees themselves and defend the wellbeing of each other’s communities” - with special responsibilities of the religious majority for the minorities in each country.

After the Conference, the Bi – Lateral Commission presented the Declaration to the Speaker of the knesset, Yuri Edelstein, drawing his attention to the special appeal regarding education.

Noting Pope Francis’ “past well-known engagement and friendship with the Jewish Community in Buenos Aires in particular” the Commission stated it “looks forward to the continuation and deepening of Christian-Jewish relations during his papacy, following on from the historic strides of his predecessors.”

The same message of reciprocal friendship and solidarity was expressed a day later during the encounter between Pope Francis and President Peres --- who sent a   message of greeting to the Jerusalem Conference, noted with satisfaction by the Commission.

Pope Francis raised the issue of anti-Semitism in the world and made clear that anti-Semitism goes against  the beliefs of Christians and “must be opposed in every country and corner of the globe. As Pope, I will not tolerate any expression of anti-Semitism.”

With reference to the role of religions in ushering in peace, President Peres noted that “Sadly, there are many religious leaders in the Middle East and across the world who advocate terror and bloodshed and do so in the name of the Lord.  We all have an obligation to stand up and say in a loud and clear voice, that the Lord did not give anyone the authority to murder and carry out bloodshed.  Your voice” he said to Pope Francis, “has a great impact in the matter. “

Francis suggested creating a global meeting of hope with the leaders of all the world’s faiths to produce a united message against violence and terror.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner extended a warm invitation to Pope Francis to visit Israel, affirming his certainty that the Pope would be “warmly received by all Israelis” because “they see in you a leader of peace and good will. The sooner you visit, the better, as in these days a new opportunity is being created for peace and your arrival could contribute significantly to increasing the trust and belief in peace.”

Pax et Securitatis is the ancient Roman pagan religious inscription on the altar of Caesar in Thessalonika. It meant worship Caesar and be secure under the Roman peace - or die. (see St. Paul's letter to the Thessalonians here in 1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, peace and security; then shall sudden destruction come upon them, as the pains upon her that is with child, and they shall not escape.) Both Muslim and Christian martyrs throughout time have chosen to worship God instead of whatever version of Caesar has claimed a false title of divinity for himself. The final Dajjal, Antichrist will claim to be god. See 2Thess 2:[3] Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, [4] Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God. [5] Remember you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

Francis thanked him and said he greatly wishes to visit Israel and would “try to find time to do so in the near future.” 

President Peres explained he believed “there is a chance to open negotiations between Israel and Palestine, and that Abu Mazen is a genuine partner for peace.  The Ministers of the Arab League once again expressed their support for a two state solution, which is also accepted by us, and a broad structure of support is being created for making progress.”

Regarding more “political” issues, Israel’s President was received by the Vatican’s Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone,  its “Foreign Minister” Dominique Mamberti, by the President of Italy Giorgio Napolitano, Foreign Minister Emma Bonino, and Italy’s new Premier Enrico Letta.  Discussions centered on Middle East trouble spots such as Syria and Iran. President Peres expressed Israel’s appreciation for the ongoing excellent relations with Italy and extended invitations to visit Israel.

After meeting Italian Jewish community leaders,  Shimon Peres wound up his stay with a visit to Assisi where he was proclaimed “honorary citizen”.  There Israel’s President and Nobel Peace Prize winner grasped the opportunity to thank the town for what its Bishop and Friars did to save over 300 Jews from the Nazi-Fascist persecutions of World War II, providing refuge for all.  “Four priests and friars were named among the Righteous of Yad Vashem for having risked their lives to save our brethren” he said.  “On behalf of Israel, I thank you from the  bottom of my heart.”

Verses 5- 13 - Note: This was the final regathering of the Jews to hear the Gospel of Christ - there is no other regathering of Jews ever by God.

Hebrews Chapter Six, Verses 4-6 - Note: to pretend that God will send salvation to the Jews as a nation a second time is absolute apostasy condemned here forevermore. They rejected it as a nation and as a nation are damned forever - anyone pretending different is damned with them forever.

That commission begins at Jerusalem 2,000 years ago and then goes throughout the whole world and then comes the Second Coming of Christ. There is NO second salvation offered Jews as a nation in Jerusalem or any where else. To think that God will contradict His word and offer them salvation as a nation again voiding the covenant of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and in addition totally violate Hebrews 6th Chapter is to simply fall into and promulgate the trap of the Antichrist and be damned forever with the Son of Perdition and the False Prophet and Satan.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. 19 Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world ["world" in the Greek is 'aeon' = age, this age of grace, then comes the judgment of all men at the Second Coming of Christ]

29 That you abstain from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication: from which things keeping yourselves, you shall do well. Fare ye well.

It is utterly clear that Vatican II and the antipopes John XXIII and Paul VI and John Paul I and John Paul II and Benedict XVI have utterly violated this, especially when John Paul II blamed the utterly idolatrous Assisi meeting on Jan. 24, 2002 on the Holy Spirit, and can not be followed under penalty of Blaspheming the Holy Spirit and eternal damnation. In addition Guiseppe Siri was the real Pope of Rome – Gregory XVII, elected in 1958 until his death in 1988. He was forced to remain silent and in exile for that whole time by the Vatican II plotters who threatened to murder him and his family if he said anything. Shortly before his death he did speak.

All of Vatican II and the Novus Ordo and all and everyone connected with it are utterly contravened by God, His Christ and the Holy Spirit and Pius XI’s Mortalium Animus. Also, the fact that the See of Rome has been vacant since 1988 and no Pope reigned visibly since 1958 releases all the faithful from any obligation to the Vatican. Taken together and they MUST BE, the faithful are commanded by God in Rev. 18:1-6 and 2 Cor. 6:11-18 to come out now and be totally separate in every way from the Apostate and utterly evil Vatican dominion and every thing to do with it including the Novus Ordo and anyone claiming ANY allegiance with the Vatican of the present.
