God's declaration of Truth

GOD HAS SHOWN MERCY. FOR THOSE WHO REJECT THAT, THERE IS ONLY THE JUSTICE AND VENGEANCE OF GOD WHICH IS ETERNAL DAMNATION.

Luke Chapter 19

The words of Our Only Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in red.

19:10 "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."
19:11 As they were hearing these things, he added and spoke a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately be manifested.
19:12 He said therefore: "a certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom and to return.
19:13 And calling his ten servants, he gave them ten pounds and said to them: Trade till I come.
19:14 But his citizens hated him and they sent an delegation after him, saying: 'We will not have this man to reign over us.'
19:15 And it came to pass that he returned, having received the kingdom: and he commanded his servants to be called, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading,
19:16 And the first came saying: 'Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.'
19:17 And he said to him: 'Well done, thou good servant, because thou hast been faithful in a little, thou shalt have power over ten cities.'
19:18 And the second came, saying: 'Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.'
19:19 And he said to him: 'Be thou also over five cities.'
19:20 And another came, saying: ' Lord, behold here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin.
19:21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up what thou didst not lay down: and thou reapest that which thou didst not sow.'
19:22 He saith to him: 'Out of thy own mouth I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up what I laid not down and reaping that which I did not sow.
19:23 And why then didst thou not give my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have exacted it with usury?'
19:24 And he said to them that stood by: 'Take the pound away from him and give it to him that hath ten pounds.'
19:25 And they said to him: 'Lord, he hath ten pounds.'
19:26 But I say to you that to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound: and from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken from him.
19:27 But as for those my enemies, who would not have me reign over them, bring them hither and slay them in my presence."
19:28 And having said these things, he went before, going up to Jerusalem.
19:29 And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethania, unto the mount called Olivet, he sent two of his disciples,
19:30 Saying: "Go into the town which is over against you, at your entering into which you shall find the colt of an ass tied, on which no man ever hath sitten: loose it and bring it.
19:31 And if any man shall ask you: 'Why are you loosing it?' You shall say thus unto him: Because the Lord hath need of it.' "
19:32 And they that were sent went their way and found the colt standing, as he said unto them.
19:33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said to them: "Why are you loosing it?
19:34 But they said: "Because the Lord has need of it."
19:35 And they brought it to Jesus. And casting their cloaks over the colt, they set Jesus on it.
19:36 And as he went, they spread their cloaks upon the road.
19:37 And when he was drawing near, being now at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole company of his disciples began to rejoice and to praise God with a loud voice, for all the miracles that they had seen,
19:38 Saying: "Blessed is he who comes as king, in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
19:39 And some of the Pharisees, from the crowds, said to him: "Master, rebuke thy disciples."
19:40 He said to them: "I tell you that if these keep silence, the stones will cry out."
19:41 And when he drew near, seeing the city, he wept over it, saying:
19:42 "If thou also hadst known, and that in this thy day, the things that are to thy peace: but now they are hidden from thy eyes.
19:43 For the days shall come upon thee: and thy enemies shall cast a trench about thee and compass thee round and straiten thee on every side,
19:44 And beat thee flat to the ground, and thy children who are in thee. And they shall not leave in thee a stone upon a stone: because thou hast not known the time of thy visitation."
19:45 And entering into the temple, he began to cast out them that sold therein and them that bought.
19:46 Saying to them: "It is written: My house is the house of prayer. But you have made it a den of thieves."
19:47 And he was teaching daily in the temple. And the chief priests and the scribes and the rulers of the people sought to destroy him.
19:48 And they found not what to do to him: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.

The Second Epistle of St. Paul to the Thessalonians

The day of the Lord is not to come till the man of sin be revealed. The apostle's teachings are to be observed.

2:1 And we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and of our gathering together unto him:
2:2 That you be not easily moved from your sense nor be terrified, neither by spirit nor by word nor by epistle. as sent from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand.

Chap. 2. Ver. 2. Spirit . . . utterance. . . letter indicate three possible sources of their belief that the parousia is imminent. Spirit refers to some falsely claimed revelation, utterance may be a statement of Paul’s which was misunderstood, or wrongly attributed to him, the letter seems to be one forged in Paul’s name.

2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition

Ver. 3. . . The parousia must be preceded by a great apostasy, i.e., a great religious revolt, and the advent of the man of sin, i.e., Antichrist. Son of perdition, one entirely deserving of eternal punishment.

Ver. 3. The day of the Lord will not come. These words have been inserted to complete the sentence, which in the original is elliptical. The expanded reads "Let no man deceive you by any means: for the day of the Lord will not come unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition"

2:4 Who opposeth and is lifted up above all that is called God or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God.

Ver. 4. In the temple, that of Apostate Jerusalem which the full consensus of the Church Fathers declare he will rebuild - i.e. the Temple of Remphan; and in the Apostate shell of the former Christian church, which he perverts to his own worship: as the Freemasons have done to the Vatican.

Ver. 4. Antichrist will be characterized by great impiety and pride. He sits in the temple of God, etc. He will aspire to be treated as God and proclaim that he is really God.

2:5 Remember you not that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2:6 And now you know what restrains him, that he may be revealed in his proper time.

Ver. 6. What restrains him. The Thessalonians knew the obstacle. We also know that it is Jesus Christ.

2:7 For the mystery of iniquity is already at work: only that he who is at present restraining it, does still restrain, until he is gotten out of the way.

Ver. 7. Mystery of iniquity, the evil power of Satan’s threefold prevarication and total Apostasy from God, of which Antichrist is to be the public exponent and champion. He who is at present restraining it. The obstacle is now spoken of as a person. Some point out that Michael the archangel and his heavenly army are obstacles, and this is true, which now prevent the appearance of Antichrist – but the primary obstacle is, as St. Justin Martyr teaches: Jesus Christ Himself; when the great Apostasy is complete, then in effect, Christ is “gotten out of the way.”

2:8 And then that wicked one shall be revealed: whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: him

Ver. 8. When Christ appears in glory, He will inflict defeat and death on Antichrist by a mere word of command.
2:9 Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power and signs and lying wonders:

Ver. 9 – 10. By the aid of Satan Antichrist will perform prodigies which men will falsely regard as miracles, and by means of which they will be led to adopt sinful practices.

2:10 And with all wicked deception to those who are perishing. For they have not received the love of truth that they might be saved.
2:11 Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying:

Ver. 11. God shall send. . .That is God shall suffer them to be deceived by lying wonders, and false miracles, in punishment of their not entertaining the love of truth.
Ver. 11. 'God sends.' God will allow their willful rejection of truth to have its natural results of spiritual blindness, impenitence and damnation. A misleading influence, or, “a delusion.” The operation of error - the Greek reads: "energian planes" or literally the energy of delusion, which is exactly and actually the fallen spirits of the devils and demons conjured by pagan religion, especially by idolatry. NOW, currently, the Assisi delusion of the Apostates, Ratzinger and Wojtyla and many others present with them, is a very real and prime example. To give oneself over to this is to invite utter and complete damnation of oneself by God.
2:12 That all may be judged who have not believed the truth but have consented to iniquity.

2:13 But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you firstfruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit and faith of the truth:
Ver. 13. First-fruits, i.e., earliest believers in the gospel. Some manuscripts read: “from the beginning.” That is, God called them from all eternity.
2:14 Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast: and hold the teachings, which you have learned, whether by word or by our epistle.
Ver. 15. Teachings, i.e., his teachings whether given orally or in writing. Concerning Apostolic teaching – the oral is included in the written at the point we have the whole New Testament complete, i.e. with the completion of St. John’s Gospel.
2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God and our Father, who hath loved us and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope in grace,

2:17 Exhort your hearts and confirm you in every good work and word.

Austria to Host Secret Negotiations Between Palestinians and Israelis?

DSC_9751Austrian President Heinz Fischer deferred my question about the efforts of this country to host Palestinian – Israeli negotiations, posted to him during the joint press conference with President Abbas earlier today.
The question was: political news have surfaced about the Austrian government’s efforts to host Palestinian-Israeli negotiations on Austrian territory. Which would your comment about that be?
While the president smiled at the question, he said that “ he did not have an answer for the question”. He could neither confirm nor deny the news.
During the last few years Austria has become an important destination for Palestinian political dignitaries, who often visit Vienna and hold meetings with the Austrian politicians and with israeli conversation partners without prior announcement of either the fact nor the purpose of their visits.
Today, Austrian President Fischer hosted his Palestinian counterpart on a working visit of two days. Noting was revealed about the program of the first day of President Abbas’ visit to Austria.
Dr. Fischer said during the joint press conference that they spoke about “important issues” during their closed meetings, specifying that “we highlighted the latest development issues in Palestine, particularly with regards to supporting its role as an observer state at the United Nations”.

He added: “We spoke and exchanged views on these issues, about the present and the future of the Palestinian State and what is going on in the Arab world and the need to find a just solution in Palestine through the establishment of the Palestinian state in the borders of 1967”.
Fischer further added: “The government of Austria emphasizes it’s support by a peaceful revival of the peace process, where Austria is looking with more attention at the difficulties and problems faced by the Palestinian people, and we are ready to contribute to a political solution”.
Lastly, President Fischer stated: “We spoke about the difficult situation in Syria and we certainly support a peaceful political solution of that conflict”.

Prisoners Main Issue In Talks Between Presidents Fischer and Abbas

DSC_9791Vienna – Kawther Salam – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas thanked his Austrian counterpart Heinz Fischer for upgrading the status of the Palestinian representation in Austria from a general delegation to the level of a mission. President Abbas emphasized in his speech before Dr. Fischer the gratitude towards Austria for its historical positions of support for the Palestinian people, their rights, and for upgrading the status of the Palestinian representation in Austria during a joint press conference held today April 30, 2013 at the presidential offices at the Hofburg.
Abbas thanked Austria for its vote to accept Palestine as a full member of the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and as an observer state in the UN General Assembly, and for its continuous support towards the Palestinian people and  institutions, particularly to their support for the refugee relief agency UNRWA. Abbas told the journalists that he had briefed President Fischer on the latest developments regarding the prospects for peace in the Middle East and the latest efforts to resume the peace process on the basis of a two-state solution in the borders of 1967.
“I also briefed President Fischer about the Palestinian reconciliation and explained to him the circumstances in which we can reach this stage”, said Abbas. He added: “We spoke about the dangers and the continuing expansion of the settlements on Palestinian land in the West Bank and the occupied city of Jerusalem, and I gave him further explanations about the extraordinary situation of the 4000 Palestinian prisoners in israeli jails.”
President Abbas stated that the meeting had started by talking about the seriousness of the current situation in the Middle East, which is affected by the neighboring countries “where we exchanged views on the need of support of a peaceful solution in those countries, especially Syria”.

Vienna, Kawther Salam -  From 26 -28 February 2013, the beautiful Austrian capital Vienna, now covered with white snow, will host the current world leaders, foreign ministers, civil society organizations and private sector institutions and international media during the Fifth Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations which will be held at Hofburg Festsaal to promote “understanding and coexistence between cultures” at the global level.
DSC_7154 copyOver a thousand prominent figure will participate in the global event, among them the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the 135 leaders of the Alliance of the United Nations, heads of state and governments of Macedonia and Turkey, the foreign ministers of Iran, Iraq, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan etc.
During the opening session on February 27, Michael Spindelegger, Vice-Chancellor of Austria, Ban Ki-moon, UN-Secretary-General, Vuk Jeremic, President of the UN General Assembly, Jorge Sampaio, UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations, Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, UN High Representative-designate for the Alliance of Civilizations, José Manuel García-Margallo y Marfil, Foreign Minister of Spain, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of Turkey, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar and Dr. Heinz Fischer, Federal President of the Republic of Austria, will speak to the attending audience.
On February 26 2013, a special Youth and Innovation Award and Cultural Event (“Vienna World Music Cultural Event”) will be held at the Volkstheater as part of fifth global forum. 150 young people between the ages of 19 and 35 years who have made outstanding contributions in their communities were selected to discuss a variety of topics about African, Arab revolutions, about sporting activities between Israelis and Palestinians and to improve the living conditions of women in Liberia, and other current issues.

At the Youth Event at the Fifth Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, Ban Ki-moon will deliver the speech quoted below.
DSC_7284a_edited-1
It is a great honour for me to be here on the eve of the opening of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations. This is for the first time for me to stand and say something in the Opera House. I used to come to this Volkstheater when I was Ambassador here in Vienna. I am just very much nervous to say something where only opera singers used to sing, and I have been enjoying your places. I know that we have a distinguished world class opera singer, Placido Domingo, here, and I am very much pleased to see him together with us – let’s welcome him.
Let’s see how well I sing today. Ladies and Gentlemen, again it is a great pleasure and honour for me to be here with you. Responsible leadership — the theme of this year’s Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations – is often what makes the difference between discord and harmony.
Leadership can come from many quarters – from heads of government to school children.
It involves setting examples, standing by principles and being prepared to swim against prevailing currents, if that’s what it takes. I commend the leadership shown by the BMW Group in supporting this award – and the projects that are being recognized.
The United Nations is increasingly expanding its partnerships with business and civil society, for only by engaging all will we create the future we want. The creative solutions being showcased tonight hold lessons for all communities and for organizations such as the United Nations.
I hope they can greatly benefit the work of the Alliance. Intercultural understanding and tolerance are vital for peace and sustainable development. The Alliance has been created to further those ends.
Tomorrow’s Forum of Alliance of Civilizations is another welcome opportunity to explore how we can build enduring bridges among religions and cultures. We must ensure that the ideas that emerge translate into action that can make a real difference – especially where tension or conflict exists.
The stories we will hear tonight are exceptional. Let us support these winners – these leaders – so they can expand their activities and so others can be inspired to follow their lead. We live in a time of profound transformation – economic, demographic, political, social and environmental.
The challenges are considerable, but so are the opportunities. We have to seize these opportunities to achieve a more equitable, prosperous and sustainable world, we need to work together from a basis of mutual respect. Responsible leadership can provide this foundation.
The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations is committed to supporting and nurturing responsible leadership in all communities, cultures and religions. I encourage you all to take inspiration from the Forum and return fortified to your communities to help us create a harmonious world.
And I thank you very much for your commitment and leadership. Let us work together to build a society, to build a world, where every man, all the men and women, regardless of what you are doing, regardless of where you are coming (from), regardless of what kind of background you are bringing, can live in peace and harmony and with dignity.

The 56th IAEA General Conference « Kawther Salam

The 56th IAEA General Conference « Kawther Salam

The 56th IAEA General Conference

The General Conference of the IAEA, which is scheduled to last five days, was opened today Monday Sept. 17 2012, at 10am in the M building of the UNOV. The opening session was attended by hundreds of high-level government representatives of the IAEA’s member states, international organisations, NGOs and dozens of journalists representing media from all over the world.
Before the background of the current political climate, it was only natural that the greatest interest of the journalists and camera teams attending the opening session was for the teams of the conflicting states Iran and USA. At the opening session were present for Iran Mr. Fereydoun Abbasi-Davani, the Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iran’s nuclear energy chief and Ambassador Ali Asgar Soltanieh. The USA sent a big team,
Mr. Steven Chu, Secretary of Energy, US Department of Energy, Mr. Daniel Balzer, from the US Department of State and others.
Israel Absent from Start of 56th IAEA General Conference
The delegation of Israel, the third party of the well-known conflict, was nowhere to be seen at the opening session of the conference. The seats reserved for them remained empty during much of the session until much later, when representatives of another country occupied those seats so as to help keep them reserved for the Israeli delegation. Click on the image to enlarge it.
IAEA Director-General Yukiya Amano delivered a statement during the opening session in which he highlighted the Agency’s major programmes, activities and developments. He said that the nuclear power remains the best known peaceful application of nuclear energy.
Mr. Amano said: “In my remarks this morning, I will consider how we have addressed these issues in recent years. I will also outline some ideas for responding to the challenges which we will face in the future”. He added: “I will start with technical cooperation. This is a high priority for the Agency because it helps to meet basic human needs. Through the technical cooperation programme, we help to make nuclear technology available to our Member States for peaceful purposes”.
Mr. Amano appointed that in the last few years, world leaders have given considerable attention to the threat of nuclear terrorism. They have recognized the Agency’s central role as the global platform for strengthening nuclear security. We have unique technical competence in this field. We will significantly expand our nuclear security activities in the coming years.
Amano said about the case of Iran: “I have presented the situation with the utmost clarity since 2010. The Agency continues to verify the non-diversion of nuclear material declared by Iran under its Safeguards Agreement. However, Iran is not providing the necessary cooperation to enable us to provide credible assurance about the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities. Therefore, we cannot conclude that all nuclear material in Iran is in peaceful activities”.The full speech of director Amano is here.
During this IAEA five-day conference some topics of major interest for the agency and its member-states will be addressed. In particular it will focus on developing the IAEA’s programs relating to nuclear, radiation and waste safety; nuclear security, nuclear science, technology and applications, and technical cooperation.
The General Conference of the IAEA elected Ambassador Barros Oreiro as President of the IAEA’s 56th General Conference on 17 September 2012. The conference also approved the applications of the Republic of Fiji, the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the Republic of San Marino for membership in the IAEA.
Last but not least it should be noted that four demonstrators, who apparently were kindly provided by the Israeli government press office, protested against the conference. The protesters were seen holding a very professional protest with placards, a table and propaganda flayers outside the UN building, speaking in Hebrew amongst themselves and in English to passers-by. The four demonstrators apparently were not of interest to any of the many journalists or photographers at the UN; I happened on them by accident.

John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he stood not in the truth; because truth is not in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.

Nuclear weapon carrying submarines for "Israel" is just like the Devil "...a murderer from the beginning...."

Germany: Submarines for Israel - Neglect for Lindau

Lindau. Pic. Credit: Kawther Salam
In visited the German City of Lindau on July 9 2012. I spent several days in this beautiful city on an island in Lake Constance (Bodensee) after leaving nearby Feldkirch in Austria. Lindau is a unique jewel of traditional architecture in southern Germany. All the area, Vorarlberg in Austria and also nearby Liechtenstein have many beautiful houses which date from many hundreds of years, but only Lindau is known to consist almost completely of houses conserved since medieval times, and this even in all of Germany.
I was surprised that, while talking to some Germans in Lindau, they would express their dissatisfaction not only with the economic situation but also with the German government’s negligence towards the city and the lack of interest on side of local and federal authorities about the proper conservation and restoration of the architecture jewels in this old city. It surprised me that virtual strangers would confide such things to me, a mere tourist, in the course of casual conversations. The problem is that there are apparent differences between the infrastructure of Germany and Austria, which appears far better maintained until now. Note: Click pictures to enlarge.
What must be mentioned when Germans complain about their authorities, the excessive taxes in the country and the pointed neglect of business and infrastructure by authorities is that the German government has been very busy during the last decades squandering the economic base and throwing the money of the country out of the window shovel-wise – that much must be clear to anybody who has followed news with minimal attention.
Among the more disgraceful “accomplishments” of the German regime during the last decade was to gift Israel with 6 submarines which have been re-equipped to carry nuclear weapons. The issue was object of a short, laudatory “controversy” in the German media earlier this year, in which it was stated that the “only 4” submarines cost “only” about 200 million Euro each. Outside Germany this disgraceful issue has been known for many years, and the prices mentioned are of about 500 Million Euro each. Apart from the moral decrepitude of the German regime, which is below contempt, what is interesting is that this gift happened during a time when the German population was subjected to increasing economic hardships, increasing taxes and creeping fascism.
While any German who expresses political views which are not of the liking of the regime risks being labelled a “right-extremist” or a “Neonazi”, the government loads the taxpayers with billions of Euros of costs for submarines capable of launching nuclear ICBMs being gifted to a terrorist and criminal organization posing as a state and which exhibits all the attributes of the evil NS-regime. At the same time infrastructure and historic jewels like Lindau slowly degrades because there is no money for its maintenance because the government has other, more important, interests.

Inside Lindau Harbor, Pic. Credit: Kawther Salam
This is apparent, for example, at the light tower in the harbour, which appears in postcards. From far away it is beautiful, but close-up and inside the building look in disrepair, having creaky stairs and filled with the graffiti and filth of a decade or more of heavy use by tourists.
Similar observations can be made for the railways of Germany. In Lindau, a touristic destination where room prices easily go over 100 EUR/night, the train station looks like it had not been overhauled since WW2 and most trains could easily have been leftovers bought from the Soviet Union. The contrast could not be greater to the rail systems of Austria and Switzerland. The Swiss trains look crisp and well-maintained, and in Austria most railway stations have been overhauled or rebuilt and a whole new generation of locomotives and wagons has been deployed during the last decade – it should be noted that traditionally these three countries have held great pride in having well-functioning and dependable railway systems which have also served as the backbone of these economies for the last century or so.
All the while Chancellor Angela Merkel, who apparently has better things to do than to care for the crumbling infrastructure of the very people and country who pay her extravagant salary, hangs out with the wheeled German minister of finances and her buddies from international high finance and signs away the German economy and indebts Germany to the tune of 100 Billion Euros “to save Spain” to be handed over the bankster cartels who have ruined the economies of the countries in the EU.
From Lindau I moved by train between the cities and villages of the region, spending my time looking at the architectural landmarks of ancient and modern, admiring the beauty of the landscape and the architecture. I walked between the fields and climbed mountains. I saw and enjoyed the beauty of the nature, the trickling water, the roar of thunderstorms and the rustle of leaves moved by summer breeze. I admired greatness of the tops of high mountains, the black and white clouds hugging valleys and dispersing in the beautiful scenery of natural art which can not be described in words and lines.
The shining flecks of white snow still littered the tops of the Alps, talking to the natural green of summer and defying the sun, flirting with the black and white clouds and sternly facing the hail of storms and thunder and rain.
The train was passing between mountains and high plains in the middle of the green forests and alpine pastures. From the window of the train I saw what scenes which I would never be able to see from the windows of an airplane. I saw picturesque lakes, running streams, beautiful homes surrounded by flowering roses. I saw a small cave and hay bales on fields waiting to be stored for the coming winter, I saw birds flying, cows and sheep grazing in the green pastures on the slopes of the mountains between woods.
During travel by train I listened to detailed explanation about many towns and places by my husband, who explained me the meanings of the names of the places we passed. Sometimes I laughed from my heart, and sometimes I listened with great attention and eagerness to his explanation. I laughed when he jokingly explained me the meaning of “Sulz” (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sulz_(Vorarlberg).
When the train stopped in Rankweil, my husband told me: “From here comes the apple and orange juice which we drink. The products of Rauch in Rankweil are distributed in many countries throughout Europe and even in Arab countries”. Actually, Rauch is only one of many very successful companies delivering high-quality products which are established in the Austrian upper Rhine valley. The whole region, along with the Swiss side of the Rhine valley and Liechtenstein, is populated with high-tech companies, many of which are world-wide success stories and often enough leaders in their industry segment.
I stopped at Rankweil to visit Rauch factory some hundred meters from the station, where I was met by a friendly lady who gave me a product flyer. I took some pictures of this nice city and followed on my way to Bludenz.
I laughed about the funny accent of the announcer in the Liechtenstein bus, but this was actually cheerful laughing. After having been able to look at this corner of the world for a week, my impression is that these people, Swiss, Germans, Austrians, have built up an incredible success story with a combination of hard work, sticking to their traditions and respecting their heritage, using what they have with measure, and limiting external influence to an acceptable measure.
In Germany, the stark contrast between the lovingly kept private houses and businesses and the decaying public sector infrastructure can be attributed to a government which has left its people standing in the rain.
When I compare the area to my native Palestine, I see in Vorarlberg the same farmer mentality of the villages around Hebron, and I think that the Palestinians could have built our own success story if we hadn’t been abused and pestered every hour of the day for the past 70 years by the zionist occupation and betrayed by the PA, all under the connivance of most UN members.
I wish all these beautiful people only the best, that their success may continue and that industrialisation may continue being respectful of their heritage and traditions. I equally hope that Palestine may soon be ridden of the occupiers and those who collaborate with them.
Vorarlberg is the westernmost federal-state (Land) of Austria. Although it is the second smallest in terms of area (Vienna is the smallest) and population (Burgenland is less populated), it borders three countries: Germany (Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg via Lake Constance), Switzerland (Graubünden and St. Gallen) and Liechtenstein. The only Austrian federal state that shares a border with Vorarlberg is Tyrol to the east.
The capital of Vorarlberg is Bregenz (28,000 inhabitants), although Dornbirn (45,000 inhabitants) and Feldkirch (30,000 inhabitants) are larger cities in terms of population. Vorarlberg is also distinct in that it is the only province in Austria that does not speak an Austro-Bavarian, but rather an Alemannic dialect; it therefore culturally has much more in common with its Alemannic-speaking neighbors Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Swabia than with Bavaria and the rest of Austria. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorarlberg
