There is a pattern here.
Heresy means to split off from the truth. There is only truth and lies, never both. The elite have chosen for themselves lies - because they will not come to the truth. Jesus spoke of them, particularly the Pharisees, but all like them:
Gospel of John 3:19 And this is the judgment: because the light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the light: for their works were evil. 20 For every one that doth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, that his works may not be reproved.

1. Moreover, this impious opinion of theirs [the heretics] with respect to actions--namely, that it is incumbent on them to have experience of all kinds of deeds, even the most abominable--is refuted by the teaching of the Lord, with whom not only is the adulterer rejected, but also the man who desires to commit adultery;(1) and not only is the actual murderer held guilty of having killed another to his own damnation, but the man also who is angry with his brother without a cause: who commanded [His disciples] not only not to hate men, but also to love their enemies; ...

John 17:9
I pray for them:[those who do His will] I pray not for the world [the elites - for they follow Satan], but for them whom thou hast given me: because they are thine: [for they do the will of God – it means everyone everywhere throughout all of time from the beginning of creation until the Second Coming of Christ, who obey God and do the will of God.]
Gospel of Matthew 6:

At the same time the opposition of the Jews to God and His Christ in the political realm was to infiltrate the Roman political backrooms and via high born Roman noble women twist the Roman authorities against the Church. Those Jews and their heretic gentile offspring were in the words of St. Paul:
2 Timothy 3:
1 Know also this, that, in the last days, shall come dangerous times. 2 Men shall be lovers of themselves, covetous, haughty, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, wicked, 3 Without affection, without peace, slanderers, incontinent, unmerciful, without kindness, 4 Traitors, stubborn, puffed up, and lovers of pleasures more than of God: 5 Having an appearance indeed of godliness, but denying the power thereof. Now these avoid. 6 For of these sort are they who creep into houses, and lead captive lunatic women laden with sins, who are led away with divers desires:
